Employees of the Month

At Classy Kids, we are dedicated to exceeding expectations as we nurture and care for our children. Each month we are privileged to honor, at each location, those who go even further than the extra mile that we come to expect. Congratulations to our honorees: we are so proud of you!

Fairview: Sara Gerrity

What’s not to love about Sara?! The parents who nominated her to be this month’s honoree at the Fairview Road location frequently used “love” in their descriptions of why they feel she should be recognized. Of course, we see this every day. . . So it didn’t come as a surprise to the rest of us! But we were so glad that parents and children would use this descriptor as well. When a parent says that his or her child loves coming to school because Sara is his or her teacher, it makes us so happy!

Sara loves spending time with her family, volunteering at her church, and watching her boys play baseball and basketball. She’s a natural with children, and a great influence on them as well, our parents report. Congratulations, Sara!

Greer: Crystal Christmas

Known for her bright smile, parents at our Greer location were more than excited to nominate Crystal to be this month’s honoree. With graciousness and a heart for the children she serves, parents mentioned how much they appreciate how polite and welcoming she is to them every day. She is also known for going above and beyond the call of duty, because she puts others before herself.

In her spare time, Crystal enjoys spending time with her family, especially her own children.  Like many of us out there, she loves a good Netflix show. It’s a good thing it’s football season again, because she also loves college football (and basketball too!). Kids love her for her fun-loving personality, and we love her for everything she does to contribute to our community of early learners.  Congratulations, Crystal!

West Georgia: Ethelene Hopkins

The word that so many parents use to describe Ethelene is “sweet”, and we couldn’t agree more! Parents at our West Georgia Road location nominated Ethelene, using other adjectives like “amazing” and “best” and “caring.” All of those descriptors (and more!) reflect what we see every day with Ethelene. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, and opens that loving heart to our own Classy Kids every day. She also is passionate about her ministry work and travel.

One parent, who has been with us for over a decade, with one child in afterschool and another in preschool, remarked “She has just been so sweet and caring for the twelve years we have been here.” Another remarked “She was amazing when {our daughter} started and keeps up with her!”

Always on time to work, and never calling out, we can count on Ethelene to help out with anything we need.  Congratulations, Ethelene!
